Says it All

You know who you are and I love you for this beautiful card that had me crying like Olly Onion.

I'll bet you've had about enough
of people telling you how strong you are
and how great you're doing
during this awful, difficult
period in your life.

Maybe you'd rather hear someone say
how much this sucks, how outrageous
and unfair it is.

Maybe you'd rather hear someone tell you
that you don't have to be strong
all the time.

Or that it's definitely okay
to curse fate and throw a tantrum or two.

So here I am to tell you
all that stuff and more,
to let you know where I stand,
which is right in your corner.

There's no right way or wrong way
at a time like this.

However you work through this thing
is immaterial to me.

All I care about is that
you ask for what you need,
lean on those who love you,
and trust me when I say
that you'll come out the other side.

ohhh wow Jules!!! I know very much what you've been through. You're poem nearly had me in tears too.

Sounds like we been walkin a similar path the last year or so.

Thankfully I too am on the way up again. A year I wouldn't want to repeat again!!!

Glad to hear you're doing better and I'm am so, so sorry I wasn't there for you to have a cry on.

Wow, that's cool.

It's really hard when you want to reach out to someone but don't really know what to say except for 'you're doing great, you will get through' - that was a good insight.

Awesome poem. Says it all really, especially "to let you know where I stand which is right in your corner" I love it. I am so proud of you, you are one spunky chick. Never be afraid to tell like it is.

LOL Jules, yes I used to think of Peter Plumley Walker there too... such a weird thing to happen.. kinky .... and weird! I can't even remember most of the details now, it was so long ago! Wasn't it something to do with S & M ? It is still an awesome place.
