The Ultimate Cleanse

So, after much discussion regarding poos, photos of poos and the detox, I finally ordered it and it should be here by Saturday at the latest. In the interests of getting started and therefore finished before The Hen's Night next Friday night, I am starting the fruit and vege only days tomorrow.

It does seem rather bizarre to me to start myself on a strict regime on a Friday when I really will just want to drink rum, drink wine and eat butter by the spoonful. But it has to happen.

I lost a total of nada over the 4 week challenge. I gained 200g. Not really a big deal but not really like I kicked arse for my first dress fitting.

Speaking of dress fittings, first one is on Saturday, hopefully I can lose 8 kg in two days eating only fruit and veges. Not fucken likely.

Bought an mp3 player on Tuesday for the wedding music.

This is where you all come in. Now lurkers, slackers and the like, now is the time to come out of the woodwork. I have never needed you more.

I need to hear THE song that gets you fired up at a party, wedding, or at the pub.

I have many including Copperhead Road, Sweet Caroline etc etc.

What I need is for you buggers to let me know the one or two or three that really get you in the dancing mood.

Go for it.

Knock me out.

I am going to have the best wedding playlist in history.

These are my ceremony and wedding dance songs linked to their YouTube videos (please check them out if you don't know them):

Walking down the aisle/bush track: Arithmetic by Brooke Fraser
Signing the Register: Make a Memory by Jon Bon Jovi
It's all Official song: Afternoon Delight by the Starlight Vocal Band

Wedding Dance Song: Love Will Keep us Alive by The Eagles

Really, it's not a good idea to ask me for music suggestions. I have weird taste. Like:
Camel Walk by Southern Culture on the Skids

Good for you for ordering the cleanse. I wish that I could find something that would ship to Canada. I poked around on the site and they didn't seem to like the fact that I was Canadian. :)

Hi Jules, thanks for stopping by :) I have plenty of great dance/party tracks but I'm not so sure they'd be good wedding songs. Look at the general age of your guests and think back to what would bring back the best memories for them also.

Bon Jovi... Make a Memory!! Great choice, my favourite. About party music how about:

Just a Gigalo
Flashdance (bit of disco hehe)
Groove Jet
Its Raining men
YMCA or Macho Man
Pretty Vagas
Night Fever
Suspicious Minds

Ok so there's lots of oldies there but man they got everyone dancing at my party last year (the young ones!) I have more if you need them.

That song 'movin on up' always gets me in the boogie mood! Probably because it was the in song during my clubbing days.

I like Rihanna (sp?) I don't think you want what is on my ipod. It's pretty much all in your face rap music. Love Motown, any 70's (get down on it KC and the sunshine band) Violent Femmes. Stones. I'm all over the place.

We danced to "Sea of Love" I love that damn song.

I hate word verification too.

"Fame" Irene Cara is always a good groove when you are tits-fallin-out-but-I-don't-care drunk off your ass!

Hi there! I have been lurking for a little while. Regarding songs I love Groove Is In The Heart by Deee-Lite and Get this party started by Pink. What wedding would be complete without Nutbush City Limits by Tina Turner??? ... it's a shocker, but after a few drinks everyone is on the dancefloor!

Good luck with the detox - i'll have to give some more thought to the songs, when I think of music for partying i'm usually thinking karaoke songs after too many drinks - which don't always make the greatest of dance songs ... lol
