In Fairness ..

I should give the clubrooms a bit of a plug too.

and the right:

And a nearly every night typical sunset viewed from the clubrooms:

And all you romantics, we have to remember that Blair and I have four children and this venue is about $4,000 cheaper than the other one!!

Hon - you'll have a wonderful marriage regardless of the wedding. If budget is a major issue, then do what you need to do.

HOWEVER - you DID say

"This is where I always wanted to get married"

If it's humanly possible to do it, you should.

I agree with AKG on both counts, above!

Do what is in your heart.

Ditto to what both the above tarts said, but the mother in me says ... the financial side has to be considered too... and aren't you and Blair building a new home too? Whatever you decide, I wish you both the very best.

How about get married at the club rooms & take a couple of nights away at the mount? If you can get someone to look after the kids.

Alternatively, plan to renew your vows there in 5 years time.

This is your wedding to be shared with family and friends and I'm sure wherever you choose will be a special venue for you. Really it's what you make it. Do your sums and have your wish list and then go for it. Some weddings are just special wherever they are - because of the couple.

Still interested in what you are going to call your blog once you are a married woman??

ok, I'm the talk of reason here.
I totally agree with Nanette (wannabe) about saving money and having your wedding at the clubrooms then spending a night or two at your dream location.
I was told when it comes to money there are only two types of people, those who spend and those who don't. I'm a saver so the practical side of me would be looking at $$$. But if you would regret not having your dream location and always think back and wish you had just had what you really want, then thats what you should do.
Life's to short to live with regrets, so make the deciscion you know you won't regret.
