Planning Frenzy

Well, after 4 and a half years of engagement Blair and I have decided to make it official and are in the throes of planning our wedding. We are thinking October 13th this year but have to confirm with my Dad who is travelling the remote north west coast of Australia at the moment.

I have been trying to whittle down an invite list as we are only having immediate family and GREAT friends. Really hard to not invite people but we can always have a shindig at the local pub with all those we didn't invite. It's our day afterall.

Have lost another 800g this week and am feeling great, apart from the last bits of my virus that are hanging around.

Had my public gynae appointment yesterday, most action I've had for a couple of months!! Things are looking good and I have been placed on public list for a tubal ligation and pelvic floor repair. I have also been advised by gynae to get the Kegelmaster 2000 out and get into it because any exercise of the va-j-j is going to help my cause.

Went to obedience training the other night and was great, learnt how much work we have to do with this dog but she is really worth it. Darling little border that she is.

So, what am I up to for the week: Planning a wedding!

Any tips on dresses, especially celtic sorts, would be much appreciated eg:

Wow, how exciting!!

I'm sure you don't want email invites, but if you did, I'd be more than happy to make you some in photoshop, lol.

You can plan a wedding quickly - we started planning ours in November and were married in February - it was good for an indecisive girl like me - I just found the first thing I liked and went for it, and it all worked out perfectly in the end.

Exciting having wedding plans ahead of you! Love the style of dress you've shown:-)

It's your day so go with your feelings about what you want.

Both our our daughters had low key but really lovely weddings. One had a champagne lunch at a garden venue, we followed it with a BBQ at home. The other wanted to get married at home, I decided I could cater for approx 100. Was a bit frantic but was a fantastic day and night.

Congratulations Jules, what a cool decision (hehe)!

If you check out www.weddings.co.nz there is a good discussion forum on there that may be able to help.

I know, Jules, Im still completely shocked myself.

6kgs loss in one week. That is unbelievable.

The name of the colon cleanse is Colozone - its a white powder and you just mix one teaspoon with a glass of water and add the juice of 1 lemon and drink it 3 hours after your last meal of the day.

Not sure if this Colozone name is just something that they call it at Discover Naturopathy, where Im getting it, or if that is the brand name.

Have a great day!

Oh my gosh, it's wedding month!! We just got from a pagan wedding in the mountains. It was so gorgeous. They jumped the broomsticks and were handfasted by a vine of ivy :-)

Being a Sydney girl, I only know places around here. My friend and her sister run Gallery Serpentine and if you're into all things pagan-y, then this is your place - www.galleryserpentine.com.au

Oh and the Gallery Serpentine sisters are ex New Zealenders!

Obedience class, forgot for a mo that you were talking about the dog and not yourself.....ha ha ha. Dress...love the one pictured. October 13th... wish I could come! Understand why you are trying to limit the numbers, hell you could end up with dozens of us bloggers there!

oh wow, just catching up with blog reading and seems everyone has posted major news while I've been away.

As I've never been married myself, I'm probably not one to give advice, but considering the fact that I have been engaged four times, (yep, you heard that right, FOUR times) I've managed to do a bit of wedding planning in my time. lol

Congrats ....... How exciting!!
I hope WE are apart of the GREAT friends you had in mind!! *cheesy grin*
We had our wedding planned for the 6 June 1998, we split up because of his sister spreading rumours and making him think he was doing the wrong thing! .... anyway ..... We obviously got back together and gave Mum & Dad 11 weeks to organise and pay for the wedding so we could keep the date!! (We met on the 6/6/06 ... married 2 years to the day!)
OMG.... They still bring that up .... so much to do so little time!!
Get moving girl!! .....

Yay congrats!! My sister had a pagan wedding. She had a dress similar to the one you pictured but the tails on the sleeves went half way down her skirt. It had criscross back, absolutely beautiful.

One piece of advice (if you wanna hear it) is to get your dress made (and don't go to any major names unless you have millions). Getting it made means it fits beautifully to you and you get it looking exactly as you want!! I think (from memory) I paid $1200 to get mine made, not much more than off the shelf.

Ohhhh how exciting!!!

Can I say I love that dress. Love it. I saw a movie (I think with Sean Penn's wife) whatever and she had little white flowers in her hair hanging from threads. Ok it sounds completley insane, but it was so fresh.

I wish I could go to obedience training with our dog. Hubby won't have it. Ugh.

Oh how exciting! I am kinda going thru wedding planning withdrawl - I was married last summer and enjoyed each and every minute of it. Thats great news for you - and the dress is just beautiful!

yay, congratulations! What an exciting time for you with all the wedding plans.

It's hard to cull the numbers on the first list, we adopted the policy that if we hadn't seen them in the last 3 months they were off the list, I think with the cost of weddings people really do understand.

Congrats on the loss this week too!
